Sad to see that The Dream Weaver, Gary Wright has died. Even more sad to see that he had Parkinson’s and Lewy body dementia. Back in the Topspin days, I had many interactions with Gary. He was so lovely and curious. He was also an early adopter and pioneer in ways that seem minor in the grand scheme of a NY Times obituary. I experienced him to be curious and embracing of new technologies, especially as music became digitized. He was a notable early adopter of Liquid Audio as an example. As ink is spilled in the coming days and weeks, I hope to see this covered. My sympathies go out to his family, friends and collaborators.
